The blade of the Walther GNK 3 knife is made of hard D2 tool steel with a hardness of 60 HRC. D2 steel is carbon steel, which is partially stainless, characterized by excellent abrasion resistance, durability and excellent cutting properties. Sharpening a knife made of this steel requires a diamond sharpener due to its hardness. The blade is finished with an attractive stonewash technique. This type of finishing additionally effectively masks scratches and imperfections occurring during use.

The knife is equipped with a 4 mm blade with a drop-point profile with a flat grind and a rounded belly of the cutting edge. This ensures smooth cutting, durability and functionality of the knife. Additionally, there is a transverse milling on the back of the blade, which allows for a stable rest of the finger while working. The anti-slip knife handle is equipped with micarta linings, which ensures excellent grip even in difficult conditions. The knife can be carried in the Kydex sheath included in the set.
