Knife Mora Basic 546 Sandvik 12C27 Blue Morakniv 12241
Mora knives from the Basic series are some of the best tools to start your adventure with bushcraft or knives for everyday use. This particular model is a 546 featuring a Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade. The Hidden Tang design features a bolt routed along almost the entire length of the handle. Which means that the knife should be able to handle tasks such as planing wood or occasional batoning in soft wood.
The steel used is characterized by rust resistance and hardness in the 56-57 HRC range. This means that with regular use of a proven knife sharpener, the user will keep the edge of the blade in good condition. The Mora Basic is characterized by good value for money, so it can be used as a working knife.
The handle and sheath are made of embossed polymer. Some of the parts have a slight texturing for better grip. The holding compartment has been clearly defined with two protrusions. This ensures that even people with larger hands will be able to grip the knife with confidence. The stamped polymer has the added advantage of being highly resistant to dirt, chemicals, while being very easy to clean.
The push-lock sheath can be conveniently hung on a belt up to 50 mm wide or with the Smart Button system, that is, to the sheath of another Mora or an 18 mm diameter button.
