Building upon the foundational features introduced with the original MDT ESS, this chassis continues to prioritise comfort, adjustability, and seamless functionality. Its sophisticated design incorporates the hallmark elements such as the M-LOK forend, ambidextrous magazine latch, and the innovative XTN buttstock interface, all thoughtfully engineered to enhance the shooters experience. The chassis’s Burnt Bronze finish on durable, hard-anodised 6061 aluminium not only offers resilience against harsh conditions but also delivers a sleek, professional appearance.

From the outset, the primary focus was to create the most ergonomic chassis possible for long-range precision shooting. During development, designers meticulously carved foam prototypes to refine the shape, ensuring every contour promotes comfort and natural handling. The octagonal forend not only provides a secure grip but also minimises heat transfer from the barrel, while the angled polymer foregrip allows for a more relaxed and supported hold. The wide ergonomic thumb shelf integrated into the XTN interface enables the shooter to maintain a stable, comfortable hand position, facilitating quick, precise manipulation of the bolt, magazine, and trigger without unnecessary hand movement. This attention to detail results in a chassis that feels intuitive and natural, reducing fatigue during extended shooting sessions.

Customisability remains a core strength of the MDT ESS chassis, offering versatility to suit individual preferences and mission-specific needs. The enclosed M-LOK forend is available in four styles, including the standard no-rail option, as well as carbon fibre, full rail, and partial rail configurations, allowing for tailored accessory mounting. The chassis comes with the MDT Pistol Grip – Elite, compatible with most AR-style grips, and the included MDT SRS-X Buttstock is highly adjustable, supporting fine-tuning of cheek height, can’t, buttpad position, and length of pull. It also offers compatibility with additional weights like the MDT Bag Rider and Buttstock Weight to further customise balance and handling. With features like QD sling mounts on both sides of the forend and an integrated barricade stop, this chassis is designed for rapid deployment and adaptability across various shooting scenarios.
