The Ka-Bar 1217 USMC The Legend military knife is a cult model offered by Ka-Bar. The first version of one of the most famous military knives was commissioned by the American army during the World War II. Ka-Bar 1217 was made of one durable piece of German steel Cro-Van 1095. Steel with a hardness of 56-58 HRC is appreciated by lovers of military and survival, through to its cutting properties and long-lasting sharpness. Flat hblade with Clip Point profile has a shallow fuller and black matte anti-reflective coating. The letter "USMC", which stands for United States Marine Corps, is embossed on the blade next to the crossguard.

The legendary Ka-Bar military knife has been equipped with a characteristic handle made of pieces of buffalo leather pressed under pressure. USMC The Legend is equipped with a steel crossguard that protects the user’s hand from slipping onto the knife’s blade. The handle of the Ka-Bar 1217 is finished with a steel head that locks the hand and enables a comfortable hammer and reverse grip.

Together with the Ka-Bar 1217 knife, the user receives a classic sheath made of brown buffalo leather. The sheath enables comfortable and safe carrying of the military knife on trouser belt with a maximum width of 100 mm. At the bottom of the leather sheath there is a hole for attaching the cord, if you want to tie it additionally to the thigh. This solution makes the sheath with the knife in a fixed place and does not move on the belt, e.g. while running. The sheath is embossed with the letters "USMC" and the seal of the United States Marine Corps.
